Function of a Pig Signaller

A pig signaller is mounted at specific locations on the pipeline and detects the pig’s passage through mechanical, magnetic, or electronic sensing mechanisms.
When the pig passes, the system generates a visual, electrical, or digital signal.

This allows operators to:

Confirm that the pig is progressing along the correct pipeline
