About the project

With today’s technology, it’s easier than ever for photographers to create images that are not only breathtaking but also ignite our sense of wonder. Often, this is through photo manipulation in programs like Photoshop. But photographer Mathias Fast has recently introduced a fantastic photography hack that will give your images a fantastical, ethereal feel without you having to know your way around a computer. (Although it helps.) He simply uses his phone screen to add a reflective element to an image that makes an otherwise grounded composition feel like it’s floating.

Basınç Vakum Ventili

Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve

Pressure vacuum relief valves (PVRVs) are critical safety equipment used to maintain internal pressure balance and ensure safety, particularly in atmospheric tanks storing fuel, chemical, and petrochemical products.

These systems automatically activate in the event of an increase or decrease in pressure inside the tank, protecting the tank from deformation, leakage or explosion risks.

Working Principle

The pressure vacuum valve provides two-way protection:

  • Pressure direction: When the internal tank pressure exceeds the set limit, the valve opens to release the excess pressure.
  • Vacuum direction: When the internal pressure of the tank falls below the external ambient pressure, the valve automatically draws in air to restore equilibrium.

Thanks to this dual protection, the structural integrity of the tank is preserved, emission losses are reduced, and process safety is ensured.

Edopec Engineering Approach

Edopec determines the appropriate pressure/vacuum valve type for each project by considering factors such as tank volume, stored product type, process temperature, and environmental conditions.

Our solutions are designed to be fully compliant with international safety and environmental standards.

Edopec solutions include:

  • Pressure/vacuum valves for tank venting systems
  • Flame arrestor integrated models
  • Products compliant with API 2000, ISO 28300, EN 12874 standards
  • Stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium and special alloy options
  • Performance testing, certification and commissioning services

Advantages of Pressure/Vacuum Valves

  • Protection of the tank against explosion and collapse risks
  • Reduction of vapour losses and emissions
  • Energy efficiency and environmental safety
  • Long-lasting design with easy maintenance
  • Compliance with integrated safety systems with flame arresters

Safe Storage with Edopec Assurance

Edopec manages engineering calculations, supply processes and implementation under one roof in its pressure vacuum valve systems designed to ensure continuous safety in tank farms and refinery facilities.

Each valve is delivered with a documented, traceable and standard-compliant engineering process.
